It’s very rarely that you will find some great quality – and I do mean great quality – free internet marketing tools that is just perfect for WordPress. but there’s a new team of internet marketeers in Indonesia who are doing just that.
The team over at Softwarp are offering some great tools for WordPress operators totally free in order to promote their site and in readiness for the launch of their commercial offerings. If you want some great tools to promote your web site and to add content then this is a resource you need to head over too and play about with.
Some of the tools they are offering could in the wrong hands make it so easy to set up dozens of not hundreds of auto blogs and niche sites but they can also be useful for more established sites. I’ve been testing some of them out over the last week or so and have been pretty impressed with some of them.
WordPress automailer plugin.
My favorite so far has to be the automailer. This is a simple plugin that can help you to reach out to potential advertisers. It is an automailer so there’s not the personalisation that you get from making your active approaches to potential clients but it’s a handy tool to run in the background.
Basically you just installed the plugin and decide on the keywords that you want to use. Write up a template email and then let it rip. Every 30 minutes or so the plugin will head off to the search engines and do a search on your keyword. It will them email the domain name automatically. If your web host allows scripted emailing then it will just carry on quietly in the background. If your web host doesn’t allow scripted email then you have to hit the automail button manually.
I tested it on some of my live testing sites and it looks OK regarding server resources and now its’s operating live on my Wildlife News web site hunting down potential advertisers and emailing them.
WordPress auto replace thesaurus.
The next tool that I found useful and is essential if you are going to use some of the other plugins on offer is the auto replace tools. This does what you expect it to do and replaces a word with another word – there’s a sample thesaurus download files available on Softwarp if you need it. This is really a plugin that is suitable for specialist sites and you can manually set up the thesaurus for the topic. Using a general thesaurus database can give you quite strange sentences and phases such as Robot Marketplace for Android Marketplace.
If you have a wordpress site on a specialist subject you could find this plugin a useful way to avoid duplicate content if you take live feeds as you can set it up to automatically operate on post publish – though remember to switch it off when you manually write up a post if you don’t want it changed.
WordPress youtube feed plugin.
Going away for a while or just want to run an autoblog? Then the wp-tuber lets you set up a feed from Youtube. Set up the keywords and video sizes etc. Set up your page template and that’s it. tuber will go and search youtube for relevant videos and construct pages on your site to host them.
You can run a cron job for tuber which means it will automatically run however often you have it set up. A handy little tools for autobloggers and it integrates into the auto replace plugin so and description can be re-written to be original.
Wordpress Yahoo answers plugin.
The wp-nibbler is an easy to use plugin that will quickly add content to your WordPress web site. you decide on the categories of Yahoo answers that you want to use and then input some keywords. The plugin then goes out and fetches the questions and answers into your own site. you can set your own dates of questions etc and the poster. The plugin integrates into the auto-replace plugin so the questions and answers get written automatically. The questions are the post content and the answers are provided as comments.
A quick and simple way to add not just content but comments to a wordpress blog.
The previous plugins are fairly straightforward to install and use but they can only offer so much purely because of their simplicity. To really run those autoblogs and niche sites you need to be prepared to get a bit technical and hands on. Softwarp haven’t ignored the intermediate users with their free tools either. Just check out these two really powerful tools that are available free of charge.
WordPress database importer plugin.
Take your time in learning wp-importer because it is really powerful. this is the plugin to use if you want to very quickly launch large sites with little work. You can import your own databases directly into wordpress and have your address book or price list converted into a mega large site.
I’ve played with this and I’ve imported the product database of one of my Zen Cart sites into WordPress and each product was turned into a very nice looking page. It’s not just your own database details you can import into a page but there’s also a wide range of other feeds you can add on such as maps or affiliate feeds.
Spend some time on going through the tutorials and playing around with it on a test site and you’ll soon be impressed with the power of this tool.
WordPress article spinner plugin.
Wp spin engine is a support plugin for the other plugins at Softwarp and it is worth getting to know because this is how you can generate dozens of pages from one core piece of content. you add is nested variable text, images, links,html etc ( and you even nest within nests) and then hit the button and the plugin will produce dozens of pages from the core content using different variables to help ensure you don’t get caught with duplicate content issues.
It really is worth heading over to Softwarp to see whats on offer, the plugins above are just a small selection of the free stuff on offer. The only one I haven’t yet been able to get to work – but one I really do want – is the Vibe-orator. This plugin allows you to set up rewards for people who share your content or add a link to your from their web site. Now if I could just get that to work…

Update: Ok it looks like the wp Vibe-orator is not wordpress 3.3 compatible but it will work in WordPress 3.2. Also don’t be fooled by the look for domain url in the tweet feed ect. I could not get it to work because I was running the shortcode on a test pae. Even though I had previously tweeted pages from the site the plugin looks for the full url of the page that the shortcode is on to decide on success or failure.
